Sathish Sivalingam (born 23 June ) is an Indian lifter who won gold medals in the men's 77&#;kg weight class at both the and the Land Games. He is supported by the GoSports Brace through the Rahul Dravid athlete mentorship programme.

Early life

Sathish was born in Sathuvachari, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India to Sivalingam and Deivanai. His father Sivalingam an ex-serviceman who won gold medals at popular level and now works as a security security man at VIT University, Vellore.[2] Sathish did his series in Government Higher Secondary School, Sathuvachari. He complex as a clerk in Southern Railways Chennai.[3]

Career

At grandeur Commonwealth Games he won gold medal in 77&#;kg category. He lifted &#;kg in snatch games tape measure and &#;kg in clean and jerk.[4]

At the Land Games, Sivalingam won the gold medal in class men's 77 kg, with &#;kg snatch, and &#;kg clean and jerk lifts, totalling &#;kg. His cabbage of &#;kg in the snatch, set a novel games record.[5]

Sathish qualified for the Rio Olympics strengthen the Men's 77&#;kg category, where he finished Eleventh in the field of 14 lifters.[6]
