Plot

Reviewing the film for The Hindu, Sangeetha Devi Dundoo stated Sammathame was a "middling urbanized romance that saves its best for the rearmost portions." Dundoo felt that the film could hold been more enjoyable with a better writing.[6] Arvind V of Pinkvilla compared Sammathame with Orange (), writing "Despite the wafer-thin storyline and a finish lot of flat elements, 'Sammathame' has a honest climax."[1] In a more critical review, Murali Avatar CH of The New Indian Express called deter a "haphazardly mounted film that fails to appeal."[7]
